Dear readers,
So here is finally my first post on a blog I have worked on since a sparingly long time. I think you can guess how relieved I am to finally start writing these words and how excited I am to start hunting the newest and the most exclusive news about Montreal Fashion world. I first came to Montreal seven years ago and I immediately fell in love with the streets, the terraces, people, the festivals… Oh about festivals, Guess what day are we !!!
Today is Ze first day of the festival Mode et design. Today is also the beginning of a new era for me: Enfin, je blogue! This morning, I woke up very early, showered, got dressed then I headed out with all my energy, enthusiasm and lenses! Résumé of the day : 1 200 pictures, 4 Fashion Shows, $$ spent on the boutique-sur-place, saw old friends, made new one… Loved it !

Among the shows I loved: highlights on the earlier edition of Montreal Fashion Week. Quebec celebs took over the catwalk and presented their most loved designer piece to the huge and amused crowd who was watching them. Aren’t they lovely ?
The main reason why I am starting the blog is to promote our local fashion designers. There is so many names that I never heard of before and nor did you ! If the french know everything about their designers, why shouldn’t we !
I am also aiming of putting forward all kind of local boutiques you never heard of ! I am sure You will be greatly inspired on where to shop uniques pieces in Montreal… Other than Zara or Simons :)
Why small local boutiques ? Because we do not dress like everybody else. Is true ? Not really… Not in Montreal. We all shop in the same stores, the same pieces. We may put our outfit differently than others, but we all have the same styles.
Anyhow, I am a firm believer that Style is necessary in Fashion. Fashion is not only a bunch of trendy pieces one can wear…
Fashion is a lifestyle, it is in everything we see, we smell, every glamorous place we go to. Fashion is constant, you can find it on a smile a woman wears.
I will try to not do sponsored posts. If a boutique asks me, it will depend if I like what they have and if it worths presenting it to you. And If it’s sponsored, I will tell you !
It’s almost morning, I should catch some sleep before heading back to the festival.
